Navigating cybersexuality is a fact of modern life for all genders, and an increasing number of women – especially younger women and girls — struggle to do so with clarity and integrity. It’s never been more important for providers to understand this new cultural landscape and the pressures faced by women in it. Overview of three heartwarming case studies with successful outcomes, this webinar will inform, inspire hope, and give you an overview of effective, female-informed approaches to therapy to treat cybersex/porn/romance addiction.

  • Participants will learn definitions, overlap, and distinctions between cyber romance, cybersex, and pornography addiction that typically occur in girls and women.

  • Participants will receive an assessment form to evaluate the presence of compulsive cyber romance, cybersex, and pornography addiction that is tailored to the use patterns most commonly reported by girls and women. These forms may be adapted for participants’ specific practice and work with other populations.

  • Participants will understand three key methods to intervene when reported cyber romance, cybersex and pornography use has reached high-risk, abusive, or illegal levels.

Staci Sprout, MSW is a psychotherapist and intimacy coach from Seattle with over twenty-eight years of experience as a therapist and social worker in a variety of settings from community mental health and hospitals to private clinical practice. Since 2006, she has dedicated her practice to helping individuals, groups and couples in recovery from sex, love and relationship addictions. She conducts trainings on sexual ethics for professionals and is an experienced retreat and conference speaker.
